Friday May 20th will go down in the history of Barrow CC as Women's cricket was launched at the club. Twenty one women braved the elements and had a fun packed evening learning how to bat, bowl, catch and field. The session, run by Jo Herbertson, Cheshire Cricket Board Women and Girls Cricket Development Officer, was extremely well received by the group, many of whom have never played cricket before. Such was the success of the taster session that another session has been arranged for Friday June 10th (6pm - 7.30pm at the cub ground). Please share this date with others who either couldn't make the first event or with others that you think might want to join in the fun.
