The development of our junior section is at the very heart of what Barrow CC looks to achieve and the club offers a first-class environment for Junior Cricket.

Our objectives are clear – we want to foster a happy, safe and unpressurised environment where children can develop a love for the game that they can take through life and along the way produce the next generation of club / county cricketers.

We offer a vast programme of Junior Cricket for boys and girls. Our age groups start at Under 7, run right through to Under 17 and then there is a clear development pathway into Senior cricket.

Our U17 training and coaching programme is designed and overseen by our Senior & Junior Cricket Managers, Gareth Hughes & Jon Linford. Our U17 coaches are qualified and trained to develop the young cricketers to the best of their abilities to assist them in the transition to senior cricket in the future if they wish. The training sessions are all run by ECB qualified, DBS registered coaches with a set program to develop the young players. Training is supported by the excellent facilities available including training aids and equipment, a fantastic pitch and excellent net facilities. The U17's will be managed by Henrik Pold.

Training and coaching is run throughout the year starting with an 10 week winter programme (starting in January 2025) and then a summer programme (starting in April 2025) on Wednesday evenings at Barrow CC with the men's senior team.
