Barrow Cricket Club

Welcome to Barrow CC U7's. Barrow Cricket Club has a proven track record in developing junior cricketers in Cheshire.

The development of our junior section is at the very heart of what Barrow CC looks to achieve and the club offers a first-class environment for Junior Cricket.

Our objectives are clear – we want to foster a happy, safe and unpressurised environment where children can develop a love for the game that they can take through life and along the way produce the next generation of club / county cricketers.

We offer a vast programme of Junior Cricket for boys and girls. Our age groups start at Under 7, run right through to Under 17 and then there is a clear development pathway into Senior cricket.

Our junior training and coaching programme is designed and overseen by our Head of Junior Cricket, Jon Linford. Our U7 Head Coach,Rob Pilbrow, is qualified and trained to develop the young cricketers to the best of their abilities to assist them in the transition to senior cricket in the future if they wish. The training sessions are all run by ECB qualified, DBS registered coaches with a set program to develop the young players. The training is made as enjoyable as possible, especially within the younger age groups, with the emphasis on fun and learning the basics of the game at a young age. Training is supported by the excellent facilities available including training aids and equipment, a fantastic pitch and excellent net facilities. The U7's will be managed by Rob Pilbrow, Mikey Holliday and Matt Pimblett.

Training and coaching is run throughout the year starting with an 10 week winter programme (starting in January 2025) , then an 8 week All Stars summer programme (starting in May) with once a month Friday night outdoor training at Barrow CC.
